I was born in London and worked for many years as a geography lecturer at the University of Derby, from where I retired in 2015. In 2013 I came to live in Bamford with my partner Sara. We have three grown-up children. I am the village Snow Warden and Chair of Friends of Bamford Station. My interests are in nature conservation and all kinds of environmental issues. I strongly believe that parish councils can play an invaluable role in enhancing the well-being of the local community and its environment.
